Super tasty, fresh fish with homemade salads. The staff was very accommodating. If you want good fish in a home manager atmosphere, you should stop here

Very nice staff, attentive and quick; Coffee & cake very good. Unfortunately the difference between "mouth-nose-covering" and "chin warmer" was not understood :-)

Very good food. We went there with a little bit of reservation. But we were taught better. And if you want to drink another schnapps, you should take the Friesengeist.

A really great restaurant. Very friendly staff. The food was great and very generous. We are all fed up. I can highly recommend the crab soup here. Always my pleasure.

Price / performance (10.2020): Cola 0.2 l for € 2.40. Service: Very friendly, humorous, brisk. Furnishings: Cozy, appealing, inside and outside. You can sit outside and enjoy the sun. Toilet: yes + clean Barrier-free: No entrance, as only accessible via stairs. Children's chair: no Corona-Hyg: Very good. Table was wiped + disinfected, although the restaurant was very busy. Disinfectants at the entrance too. Location: very nice in the small center + at the small harbor. Rating: 4/5, because fish rolls are delicious, but with a soft roll similar to Mc. Proper bun would have been perfect.

"Various matjes" were hardly available and were drowned under a mountain of tartar sauce. Fried potatoes limp and lukewarm. Waitress does not wear a mask. No response to information about the missing fish. We can't recommend it.

We were here 3 times within a week and it was just super delicious every time. Always happy 👍👍👍.

Excellent food and it was delicious. Do not be unsettled because a person does not wear a mask, they still keep their distance and you know why they are not wearing one ?! The fact is that mortality is falling steadily and that is the decisive factor. Don't drive yourself crazy. 😊

Quaint little restaurant with really good fish (and great fried potatoes). The service was friendly and quick, the food was great. Of course there are also cheaper options, but the location is worth the premium.

no star is almost better. The herring was real, and so were the onions, but the old fisherman would have turned in his grave with the roll if he had seen it. Nothing against 100% earnings, but it doesn't have to be 300%. It's a shame that I didn't find the Lidl stamp on the herring, then I would know that it was at least quality. Maybe the "kenigen" rolls had just run out 😏

I grew up not far from Greetsiel and today I enjoyed Skantjes - prepared and just as tasty as at home 50 years ago. It couldn't be better!

Unfriendly service, landlady and waiter without adequate corona protection, waited a long time until the menu was even served. The food came only after a good hour. I had herring fillet. That was 2 fried herring in sour, that should have been stated on the menu. My wife had herring variations. It turned out that different small pieces of matjes were served in a uniform sauce! Facit: never again!

Kipling is awesome. Super tasty and a great price-performance ratio. Then there are super-friendly staff and a great location directly above the well-known harbor with romantic cutters, seagulls and everything that is part of maritime pleasure.

The crab bread with 2 fried eggs and a little salad is very expensive at 17.80 euros. 12.80 euros would have been enough here, especially since the crabs are fished in large quantities on the doorstep. The waitresses are really nice and friendly.

Very cozy. Great fish dishes and very friendly service. Drink prices a bit high, I think - but certainly also due to the location. Overall, very recommendable.

All questions and special requests were dealt with and the recommendation and advice on the selection was great. The food was the best fish I have ever eaten. And if you order a Frisian spirit at the end, you will also get burning schnapps with a poem at the table. Best fish restaurant.

Massive delicious cakes. Very fresh and tasty. Great views over the harbour.

Had a great fish dish (Skantjes) and the service was excellent. Reasonably priced. I wish there were more places with a service like that!
